After beating Champions-elect, Nottingham Lions, last Saturday, the Trafford Metros once again approached a game against Kingston in optimistic mood. This time they were not to be disappointed in the result.

The relative league positions of the two sides and the fact that the Lions had won the three previous encounters this season may well have given them some confidence that this game would produce two of those points.
