Rink round up

Friday, 10th December 2004

Coventry Blaze and Cardiff Devils continue to slug it out for the top spot in the league, with impressive performances from both teams helping to pile on the points. Last weekend saw the Devils notch up a 5-0 win over the London Racers in a hot-tempered game that saw Devils keeper Jason Cugnet and Racers enforcer Dennis Maxwell ejected before the final whistle.

Hot on the heels of the top two are the Sheffield Steelers, who despite a shaky start to the season are now clawing their way back up the table towards the top. The Steelers are faring better in the inter-league tournament, taking 14 points from 10 games to put them one point above the Blaze, who sit in second place with a game in hand.
