Phoenix call for Junior hockey coaches

The Manchester Phoenix are pressing ahead with plans for their Junior Development programme and qualified ice hockey coaches in the north-west are invited to send in details for consideration to become part of this exciting venture.

If you have a recognised English Ice Hockey Association coaching certificate, Level 1 or 2, and would like to be considered for a volunteer role within the Phoenix Junior Development programme, please send full details of your experience to the club by e-mail to manchesterphoenix.team@ntlworld.com

A club spokesperson noted, "We are very keen to use the expertise and knowledge of people based locally. Anyone with a recognised coaching credential can apply to join our programme and we are keen to progress this part of our club structure. Experience of coaching youngsters and an understanding of the criteria for working with minors is of paramount importance. This is the first stage of what we hope will become a hugely integral part of our club and will provide an excellent avenue for youngsters to become involved in sport, general physical exercise and keep fit."
