Phoenix U-14’s confirm playing roster

Hot on the heels of the announcement of the Under-16 playing roster, the Manchester Phoenix Junior Development programme are equally delighted to confirm the squad for the Under-14 team.

Manager Rob Hutchinson remarked, "When we had our first meeting in May to discuss the possibilities of running a Junior Development this coming season, I was charged with the remit to find a 14s squad. At the initial meeting we had a very short list of 4 potentials - a netminder, 2 defence and a forward! Armed with part of the Phoenix junior database and my old contacts list from the Altrincham Juniors three years ago, I set about contacting players. The vast majority turned up to the trials, some have opted to stay with roller hockey teams and a few are staying at Blackburn. Nevertheless we now have a strong squad of 17 + 3 to start the season. Some already have Conference and England experience so we intend to be challenging for a top 2 place by the end of the season."
