Neighbouring ice rinks have come to the rescue of the Manchester Phoenix Junior squads with training ice time for the coming weeks and Junior Fixtures Secretary Rob Hutchinson expressed his delight at negotiating a full weekly club night at Bradford.
"The Bradford rink have been extremely helpful. We'll be icing all age groups every Monday evening starting at 7.30pm. It may not be right on our doorstep, but it will help keep our players up to speed until the Altrincham rink opens."
The package of ice time for junior players includes additional sessions at Bradford and Deeside. The deal means that players will still be able to get the much coveted two training sessions a week and managers are contacting individual payers with their ice time schedules.
In a related development the EIHA have agreed to reschedule the club's home league games and one U-19 away game for later in the season. Updated fixture lists are now available in the fixtures section of the site.
Everyone connected with the Manchester Phoenix is grateful to the staff and management of Bradford and Deeside who have been fantasticly proactive in helping our club through this situation.
