Conference Pair!
Congratulations go to Manchester Phoenix U-14 captain Paul Swindlehurst and U-16 forward Tom Hammond who have both been selected to play for the U-15 Northern Conference squad.
The pair made it through a tough final trial at Ice Sheffield last weekend and will now begin training with selected players from Kingston, Newcastle, Billingham, Whitley Bay and Blackburn in the New Year.
A decision on the squad's netminders has been even closer, with head coach Peter Winn deferring his decision until the next session. This keeps Phoenix U-16's Adam Grisdale very much in with a chance of making the squad.
Manchester Phoenix congratulates all the players who are helping to keep the club's profile so high in our first season, and wishes them all the best in their matches later in the season.
