Rule Changes Force U19 Trials Delay

The EIHA's announcement that U-19 ice hockey is to be restructured as an U-18 league with immediate effect has thrown preparations for next season into doubt.

The decision is likely to be debated in detail at the forthcoming AGM of the EIHA.

The Phoenix junior club has therefore decided to postpone its U-18/19 trials until after the AGM so that the outcome of any discussions can be taken into account.

We apologise for this delay, but believe that it is in the interests of both players and the club that further details of the proposed changes are confirmed before we commit a squad to next season's league. We expect revised trial dates to be published shortly. Meanwhile, trials for the younger ages groups will go ahead as planned.
