Junior Club Awards Ceremony

Despite sweltering heat, the Phoenix Junior Club players, staff and supporters packed into the Altrincham Leisure Centre on Sunday afternoon for the first Awards Ceremony.

Junior Club Chair Paul Brown welcomed everyone before presenting a brief overview of last season and the early plans for the coming campaign, including the exciting news that a Phoenix application to the EIHA AGM last Saturday for a team at ED1 level to play in next seasons English National Ice Hockey League had been accepted and approved.

Onto the awards themselves and every player on all three junior squads, U-14, U-16 and U-19, was introduced individually to collect a commemorative trophy ahead of the presentation of the special category awards.

Most Improved Player - Joe Sims
Top Points Scorer - Paul Swindlehurst
Players Player - Jordan Bannon
Coaches Award - Jordan Bannon

Under-16s:
Most Improved Player - Harry Sims
Top Points Scorer - Josh Healey
Players Player - Tom Hammond
Coaches Award - Alex Pugh

Under-19s:
Most Improved Player - Josh Brownbill
Top Points Scorer - John Murray
Players Player - Mike Townsend
Coaches Player - John Murray
