Manchester Phoenix Under-14 forward Jared Dickinson has reason to celebrate having learned of his call-up to the England U-14 squad.
Pauline Rost, Manager of the National team, has named Jared as part of the squad to travel to Latvia next March for an international tournament being staged in Riga.
A Phoenix club spokesperson said, "We're all delighted for Jared. He played his part in our U-14 squad's promotion winning opening season and went on to play for the Northern Conference side. Over the summer he's worked hard in the EIHA's School of Excellence and this is his reward. We wish him the very best of luck. It's yet another step in the club's ambition to increase its presence at the highest level of junior ice hockey."
Jared is now keeping his fingers crossed for further call ups. With the England tour to Canada in his sights, he'll be looking to make a strong impression in national squad training sessions over the coming months.
