Manchester Phoenix U-18 are delighted to announce Phil Hamer, an established Great Britain roller hockey player has joined the squad.
Hamer has represented Great Britain on wheeled skates for a number of years and has now switched his talents to the on-ice game. Phoenix Under-18 squad manager Alan Ravey commented, "Phil is a welcome addition to the team and well respected by the other players. He's joined us in recent weeks at training and made a good impression, and once he fully adjusts to ice skates as against in-line roller blades, he'll be a tremendous boost for the team."
Ravey added, "We're still looking to add more depth to our defence and we'd be very interested to hear from any players under 18 who would like to trail with us." Alan Ravey can be contacted directly on 07712 881022.
In other good news for the Phoenix Under-18's, Shaun Dippnall was recently selected for the British Inline Skating Hockey Association GB U-18 squad for the Junior European Championship held in Lugano, Switzerland. The GB squad won the bronze medal and Dippnall received the "Managers Player Award" for his contribution.
