This weekend's junior fixtures are being given a publicity boost by Phoenix media partner, 104.9 Imagine FM.

In what's believed to be the first ever radio advert for junior ice hockey in the UK, Imagine are running a 30-second commerical for this weekend's Phoenix junior fixtures.

Phoenix GM Andy Costigan enthused, "Now that the Elite league season is over we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to use some airtime to publicise the junior setup. We have a great working relationship with our media partners and Imagine were more than happy to oblige."

The commercial, recorded by junior club sponsors LBS Manchester, will run throughout the week. The featured games face off at the Altrincham Ice Dome this Saturday, entry is free and details are as follows:

Phoenix U-14 v Whitley Bay. Face off 4.30pm

Phoenix U-16B v Sheffield. Face off 6.15pm
