Phoenix Junior Ice Hockey Club Clubmark accredited

The Manchester Phoenix Junior Ice Hockey Club is proud to have been awarded the coveted Clubmark accreditation.

Clubmark is the Sport England mark of high quality junior clubs and Phoenix have been working hard to achieve accreditation over the last nine months.

Club chairman, Paul Brown said, "I'm delighted with this recognition and I'd like to thank Sport Trafford for their support during the accreditation process. After winning the EIHA's Chairman's award in Spring, it shows that the Phoenix club is serious about developing an organisation that families can have confidence in. It's important to be recognised as a club that is safe, effective and child friendly - all pivotal qualties for Clubmark."

The accreditation process examined how the club works both on and off the ice. As well as the playing programme, the club was assessed for demonstrating a duty of care to safeguard and protect its members, its sports equity and ethics policy was examined, as was the efficiency of its management.

Manchester Phoenix is now listed through Sport England linked websites such as the newly created www.go3trafford.co.uk and will have access to funding opportunities only available to Clubmark organisations.
