Phoenix Juniors!

Members of the Under-10’s and Under-12’s squads will be entertaining you again tonight in the period break. This has been the first time Manchester Phoenix has entered teams in the EIHA Northern League at these age levels. This means that youngsters can now join the club at a very early age and progress all the way through – maybe even to the Elite level.

Both teams have played really well recently recording wins against Billingham, Solihull and Blackburn. Recent additions to the Under-10 team, including a whole line of under-8’s, have meant that the team is now at full strength and can compete for points in the league. Although the Elite season is coming to an end, Phoenix junior hockey continues through to May keeping players, coaches and parents all busy.

In order to raise funds for the Phoenix Junior Ice Hockey Club, we are entering a team in the Junior and Mini Manchester Run, the North West’s largest junior running event, which takes place on Saturday 16th May at Sportcity, Manchester. The event is open to youngsters of all abilities aged 3-14 years of age with a mini event for 3-8 year olds of 1.5km and a junior run for 9-14’s of 2.5km. So far we have more than 20 runners have signed up from the U-10s, U-12s and U-14s.
