Junior Club committee changes

The Manchester Phoenix Junior Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Nigel Soens as the club chairman for 2010/11.

The announcement follows a period of uncertainty created by the absence of any candidates at the recent AGM. Mr Soens has now come forward to fill the void and club president, Neil Morris, has kindly agreed to use his constitutional right to confirm the appointment, without which the Junior Club would need to call an EGM for the purpose. This will prevent any further delay and uncertainty and allow the committee to press on with the urgent task of preparing for the new season.

Nigel's appointment completes the last piece of the puzzle in a Junior Club committee reshuffle due to Paul Brown stepping down from his position as chairman and Georgina Crebbin relinquishing her role as club secretary.

Both Paul and Georgina have given many years of invaluable service to the club from its first inception and everyone connected with the Junior Club thank them enormously.

The new Junior Club committee is made up by the following members:
