Phoenix fans get to see hockey and help the club!

Tuesday, 31st August 2004

Manchester Phoenix have reached a unique agreement with other Elite Ice Hockey League Clubs, to provide support services for the League. This means that in addition to the efforts to build the new rink, some time will be given to new Elite League initiatives. In return, Phoenix fans are able to buy a limited number of tickets for Elite League games through Manchester Phoenix, and help to keep the Club moving towards its own rink for the start of next season.

Commenting on the announcement, Phoenix MD Neil Morris said “It’s a great move for everyone. We are able to provide our fans with hockey, whilst their money goes to support hockey in Manchester. Our efforts to create a Rink for the people of Manchester can only be helped by this. Tickets will be sold through the Phoenix Office, and online via the Phoenix website, with Mags Pullen ensuring that these are used to ensure that true Phoenix fans get to see as much hockey as possible during our time out!”

The first two games are:

Sheffield Steelers vs Belfast Giants on September 11th
(tickets priced at £13 adults, £6.50 children and £8.50 concessions – coach travel dependant on numbers)

Nottingham Panthers vs London Racers on September 18th
(ticket prices to be confirmed next week – coach travel is available)

Fans wishing to purchase tickets for the first game, should send a cheque to Manchester Phoenix, 126-146 Fairfield Road, Droylsden, Manchester M43 6AT. For more information call Mags Pullen on 07766-650564.
