Time to put out the Flames

Wednesday, 7th December 2011

J Davidson sponsored Manchester Phoenix take on league leaders Guildford Flames in a vital league and cup match on Saturday evening with the usual 1900hrs Saturday face off.

This will be Guildford’s first visit to the Dome this season and Phoenix will have to be in top form to take the points. The game has the added excitement of being a cup qualifying game and both teams could do with the points to make the semi final stage.

Guildford are a free scoring side and their top line of Curtis Huppe, David Longstaff and Nathan Rempel have amassed 93 points already this season. Ex Phoenix star Curtis Huppe has scored 20 goals and will definitely be one to watch on Sunday.

We will also see the return of another Phoenix favourite to the Dome in the shape of Andrew Sharp. The feisty forward recently signed for the Flames to add a bit of physical security to the team and he will be itching to ply his wares against his old team.

Phoenix themselves will want to find a home win for the faithful and will be going all out for the win.

Santa is coming, and so is one of the top teams in the English Premier League. Come on down to the Dome and cheer on Manchester’s fastest and most skilful sports team, your very own Manchester Phoenix. You know you want to.
