Phoenix ready to neuter the Cats

Wednesday, 29th February 2012

J Davidson sponsored take on the Swindon Wildcats at the Dome for the last time this season after 3-2 and 6-3 victories. The match will be the second in a double header weekend which sees Phoenix travel to Wiltshire the night before. After 10 home wins in a row, Tony Hand’s men are favourites to continue that amazing run. Face off is at the usual Sunday night time of 1730hrs.

However, Swindon cannot be taken lightly as they have one of the most potent offences in the league. Jonas Hoog (31 goals) Michal Pinc (20) Jaroslav Cesky (28) Aaron Nell (27) are all capable of scoring on any given night. Even agitator Nicky Watt has hit 18 goals this season to go along with his 153 penalty minutes.

The Wildcats’ problem has been inconsistency and they find themselves in a major battle with Peterborough and Bracknell for the final two play-off places.

Phoenix are playing very well and goals are coming from all three lines. With Stephen Fone having a great second half of the season, Phoenix are a match for any team in the league and will certainly be looking to take the points at the Dome.

There are not many home games left in the season, so make sure you do not miss the chance to see Manchester’s fastest and most exciting sports team, Manchester Phoenix, and be a part of an electric atmosphere as the faithful cheer on their favourites.
