They’re here at last – 2014-15 EPL fixtures

Thursday, 7th August 2014

J Davidson sponsored Manchester Phoenix are pleased to announce the fixture list for the forthcoming season.

Phoenix will start the defence of their English Premier League title with a trip to Bracknell on Saturday September 13th followed the next day by their first home fixture against Swindon Wildcats. September continues with away games against Basingstoke (20th) and Milton Keynes (27th) and home games with Sheffield (21st) and Peterborough (28th).

Christmas will be interesting as Phoenix take on Peterborough away on December 20th and Milton Keynes are the visitors the following day. A bumper holiday crowd is surely guaranteed on December 27th when the Telford Tigers roar into town. A return fixture is set for the following day in Shropshire.

The club will close out the regular season with two home games against Bracknell and Swindon on the weekend of 21 and 22 March 2015.

With the sad demise of Slough Jets, a revamped cup competition has been set out with NIHL teams Solway, Billingham and local outfit Blackburn joining the cup. An exciting new format that ensures local under 21 players are utilised in the competition should make for interesting match ups. Manchester will play the NIHL sides in a home and away group format along with EPL teams Telford, Sheffield and Peterborough.

Phoenix will host Solway on Oct 11th, Blackburn the following weekend on the 19th and Billingham on Nov 15th.
With the 2014-15 roster nearing completion everyone at the club is raring to go and the faithful will get their first look at the team on Friday 5th September in Sheffield against the Steeldogs in the first leg of the annual War of the Roses competition with the return leg on Sunday 7th at the Dome with the usual face off at 1730hrs.
