Phoenix launches adopt-a-player scheme

Saturday, 25th October 2014

We are asking for the support of the Phoenix Faithful to back our new Adopt-a-Player Scheme this season to support Phoenix’s growing junior system.

The club has five junior teams at U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 level and due to rising costs and an increasing number of players in each age group; the Phoenix needs your support to develop our future stars.

For only £25 a season, fans will receive:

  • Their name printed on the back of their chosen player’s shirt
  • An update every six weeks on the progress of their player and team
  • A signed photograph with you and your player
  • Your name on the Phoenix website and the adopt-a-player webpage

Neil Morris said: “We are determined to develop home-grown talent who want to get to the top of their game with the Phoenix, but to do this; we need to cover the growing running costs of our junior teams. So if you’ve ever wanted to adopt a child without the paperwork and The Mc Donald’s bills, then get involved!”

Tony Hand commented: “The junior system is the lifeblood of the club, and we have already seen the progress of players such as Declan Ryan, Ben Wood and Jared Dickinson who have progressed through the junior system and into the first team, so I hope Phoenix fans can invest in the Phoenix players of the future.”

For more information, please visit the Phoenix website or see Mags in the bar on match nights, and adopt a youngster for the season.
