Catch-up with Neil - (taken from his programme article - Sunday 26th November)

Wednesday, 30th November 2016

It’s the middle of November, it’s cold, the illuminations are gone and we are still playing hockey. But as usual, the middle of November means Children in Need and our chance as a group to give something to children’s charities and organisations.

As tradition dictates, the team wore a specially commissioned shirt with the Children in Need theme prominent, to be auctioned after the game.

I thought the shirts looked fabulous this year, a fresh outlook to the design and judging by the bids, they have met with your approval as well. The total we have raised has not been finalised yet but it looks like one of our best totals.

A massive thanks to you the fans, digging deep once again for one of our country’s favourite institutions.

Not only that, the shirts inspired the guys to their best performance of the season. What a win! It is always good to get a result against our local rivals but the way we went about it was first class all night.

So proud of the team and of you guys in the stands. Once again you raised the roof and that gives Tony and the lads a tremendous boost. It was so good to see them come off the ice to so many smiling faces and words of congratulation. It is only 2 points after all in the great scheme of things but every one counts towards keeping us together as a unit as we near the end of our journey.

Keep the Faith, it really matters.
