Last chance for Phoenix ENIHL

Thursday, 12th July 2007

With registration deadlines looming, Manchester Phoenix are pleased to announce two final trial-ice sessions for an English National League squad for the 2007/08 season.

It’s an opportunity for those who missed the initial trials to add their names to the growing list of hopefuls for the squad, which will be selected immediately after the Thursday session.

The trials are inked in for this coming Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th July between 8.30pm and 10pm at the Altrincham Ice Dome.  If you didn’t trial first time around please e-mail enihl@manchesterphoenix.co.uk to let us know you’ll be coming.  You should arrive in plenty of time so that we can log your details.  There will be a £7 per session fee to cover ice time costs.

More details about plans for the squad have now been released, as junior club chairman Paul Brown explained.  “The EIHA see the English National League as a development league, and for us it will provide a natural progression for players coming through the junior system.  Like in the junior club, players will be expected to pay registration fees and a monthly subscription, which will cover most of the basics.  This is in line with the majority of teams in the league.  A big bonus for us is that sponsors are now coming on board which will help us keep fees as low as possible."
