Tuesday, 24th July 2007

Manchester Phoenix will begin their assault on the bmibaby Elite League with an opening day road trip to the defending Playoff Champion Nottingham Panthers on Saturday September 8th.

Phoenix will open their home account the following evening with a visit of the Basingstoke Bison to the Altrincham Ice Dome. Other notable home dates include a first visit by defending League Champions, Coventry on Sunday October 7th and a mouth-watering Boxing Day clash with the Newcastle Vipers.

Of the thirty guaranteed home dates in the league and two cup competitions, 23 will be staged on Sundays with face-off at 5.30pm, there will be four Saturdays with face-off at 6.30pm and two Thursdays with face-off at 7.45pm. The Boxing Day game against the Vipers is a Wednesday, and will also face-off at the Sunday time of 5.30pm.

Supporters following the team on the road should note two important venues changes for the October 27th trip to the Belfast Giants and the November 3rd game away to the Sheffield Steelers in the Challenge Cup. The Giants game will be staged in Dundalk, south of Belfast while Sheffield will take the Challenge Cup game to Ice Sheffield and not the Hallam FM Arena.
