Phoenix in Childrens Hospital Christmas Toy Appeal

Monday, 28th November 2011

As has become an annual custom in Manchester, the Phoenix are once again appealing to their supporters to donate toys to the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital for Christmas. Phoenix MD Neil Owner announced the appeal on-ice last Sunday.

Mr Morris told the Phoenix E-zine, “Christmas is not far away and once again, I’d like to ask our loyal supporters to think of children less fortunate than others. Children being ill, and in some very sad cases terminally ill, and having to spend Christmas in hospital away from their families cannot be easy.

“Phoenix players will be visiting the Childrens Hospital in the run-up to Christmas to act as Santa Claus and I’m sure Phoenix supporters will donate generously. All I’d ask is that toys and presents are new and boxed, and if soft toys are donated, please can they be in sealed and un-opened packaging.”
