Phoenix offer invitation to planning unveiling

Thursday, 23rd April 2009

Manchester Phoenix officials have been finalising their plans for the 2009-10 season and are keen to announce them to supporters. The club has chosen to do it publicly, as well as through regular news and website channels.

General Manager Andy Costigan told the clubs official website, “we know there’s been a lot of speculation about the coming season and we’re keen to offer our supporters a public chance to have their questions answered.”

“This club was originally conceived from a series of public meetings and so it’s a kind of ‘back to the future’ scenario as we look to take the club forward into the summer with a clear definition of our future.”

Since the last official announcement on April 9th, Phoenix staff have been beavering away on Season Ticket strategies, together with a full review of all the other ticket options first introduced last season. The club have also been busy on the sponsorship and advertising front and player coach Tony Hand has been making good initial headway on the player squad recruiting activities.

Costigan added, “There’s a lot for us to advise the fan base about and that’s why we’d like to give them the chance to hear it straight from the horses mouth so to speak. The intention is to get together at the Crystal Suite in the Britannia Hotel, Manchester next Thursday evening where we’d be delighted to see as many people as possible for what promises to be an exciting evening.”

“Tony is keen to come down and give us an update on not only recruiting, but also his own situation regarding playing on or not and with a number of contract offers already out with players, there could be some signing news to announce as well.”

As there is limited space we require you to call the office on 0161 301 6848 so that your name can be added to our guest list for the evening. The evening will commence at 7.30pm in the Crystal Suite of the Britannia Hotel on Portland Street, Manchester on the 30th April. The club asks for those who have full intention of attending to book.
