Phoenix phright night

Wednesday, 26th October 2011

It’s Hallowe’en and the J Davidson sponsored Manchester Phoenix are having a spooktastic night at the Dome on Sunday.

Fancy Dress is the order of the day and we will be holding a parade on the stage at the end of the second period for our sponsors to pick a winner.

Kids!!! Is anyone out there a budding LS Lowry? There will be a colouring competition going on throughout the night with some Phoenix goodies for prize winners.

The Supporters’ Club is running a “Name the Pumpkin” competition from their desk. Buy a ticket for £1 and have a go.

Also it is your last chance to get yourself a season ticket to be in with a chance to win that brand new car. The offer runs out on 31st October. Wouldn’t be nice to drive down to the play offs in Coventry in a shiny new sports car.

Oh, yes, and there is a hockey game too. Your very own Phoenix will be taking on the Basingstoke Bison for the second time at home this season. The first encounter was a thrilling 5-4 overtime win for the home side.

Bison have faltered a little bit after a good start to the season and will be keen to pick up some much- needed points. Phoenix will have travelled down to Bisonland on the previous night so the game is set up for another barn burner.

Player/coach Steve Moria, has made a change to his roster by releasing Marec Dubec and bringing in a previous fan favourite, Viktor Kubenko. The popular Slovakian was an All Star pick in last season’s Premier League after bagging 48 goals and 36 assists during the season.

Also one to watch is ex Phoenix forward Joe Miller. Joe always gives 100% and will want to put one over his old team mates. Add the ever-popular Nicky Chinn and we are sure to have another interesting and exciting evening at the Dome.

So don your Fancy Dress and come down to the Dome on Sunday, have some fun, maybe win a prize and watch Manchester’s fastest and most exciting sports team, Manchester Phoenix. Face off is at the usual time of 17:30.
