The Jets fly into the Dome

Thursday, 29th November 2012

J Davidson sponsored Manchester Phoenix will play the Slough Jets in an EPL league fixture on Sunday 2nd December with the usual face off at 1730hrs.

Phoenix will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing zero-point weekend last time out and have a good record against the Jets so far this season.

Slough have had an up and down season with them either winning two weekend games or losing two. Last week’s results went in their favour so Phoenix will be hoping the trend continues.

The Jets’ top scorer so far this season is the impressive Czech forward Frantisek Bakrlik who has netted 15 goals so far this season. He is ably supported by Lithuanian Darius Pliskauskas with 10 and fellow countryman defender Mindaugas Kieras who has also helped himself to 10 goals.  Toughness is provided as usual by Adam Greener and the chippy side of the game is provided by Michael Wales.

Phoenix have won both encounters against  Slough, scoring 4 third period goals in Slough to win 7-5 and a 2-1 overtime win in the Jets last visit to Altrincham.

Michal Psurny has edged himself into the top three goal scorers in the league with 17 goals and linemate Joachim Flaten is only two goals behind.  They will definitely be looking to add to their numbers and Coach Hand will be wanting to bag the points after last week’s disappointment.

With ex Phoenix favourite Slava “Dave” Koulikov returning to the Dome, we are sure to see a free flowing, competitive game.  Get down to the Dome on Sunday evening and make your voices heard in support of Manchester’s fastest and most exciting sports team, Manchester Phoenix.
