Fancy playing some hockey?

The Manchester Phoenix Community Sports Foundation may have the answer for you.

The Foundation is proud to be facilitating a Women’s team in the very near future. With that in mind the first session will be at Widnes Ice rink on Tuesday January 22nd from 2200-2300hrs.

Why not come down and see if this is for you? Open to all abilities from beginners to the more experienced aged 16 and over. Equipment is provided for those who do not have any and...  the first four sessions are completely FREE to give everybody a chance to try it out without a financial commitment.

The ultimate goal will be to play for the Manchester Phoenix Women’s team, part of the Manchester Phoenix Community Sports Foundation.

Come along, try it out and get to meet others at the sessions.

And that’s not all...

The Phoenix Sledge Hockey team is building for its first competitive season and are looking for new players. Training will start in February but the team are having a session on January 22nd at Widnes Ice Rink from 2045 to 2145hrs.  Come along and meet the team and watch a demonstration of this fantastic version of Ice Hockey.p> The sessions for new players will be in February and equipment is provided for those who do not have any. The first four weeks are FREE to give people a chance to try it out without having to make a financial commitment.

Sledge hockey is a totally inclusive sport open to all genders and is open to all abilities from beginners to the more experienced.

There is an opportunity to advance right to the top of the tree at International level with a clear pathway from club to the Great Britain team. Phoenix already has 4 players in the GB squad with a chance of representing them in the Winter Olympics. Now that is something to aim for.

Phoenix will be entering the British Sledge Hockey League for the coming season and welcomes new players to the Phoenix fold.
