Sell-out Saturday at the Dome

Wednesday, 6th March 2013

J Davidson sponsored Manchester Phoenix are almost certain to have their second successive sell-out game. Peterborough Phantoms are the visitors and ticket sales so far indicate another full house.

Peterborough Phantoms can be the enigma of the league. Devastatingly potent in offence, as Phoenix know only too well after a huge 9-4 defeat last time out in Peterborough, and tough in defence if the mood takes them, but vulnerable as their league position indicates. The Phantoms are in a battle to consolidate their play off place and will be looking to take the series against Phoenix on Saturday.

Top scorer for Peterborough so far is Ondrej Lauko with 36 goals. He is well supported by Tom Carlon on 20 and Jeff Glowa on 19. Luke Ferrara has proven to be one of the stars of the season and has been rewarded with a two way contract with Elite League Cardiff Devils for the rest of the season and it remains to be seen if he will wear Phantoms colours next season.

Phoenix are in a rich vein of form and Saturday’s game is vital to their chase for second place in the league. Michal Psurny is high in the league scoring charts with 38 goals and Joachim Flaten has 26. The second line is also scoring with Tom Duggan finally getting the reward of goals for his continuous efforts. James Archer is scoring for fun and has 23 goals to his name.

The match faces off at the usual Saturday time of 1900hrs and with the game almost sold out already, fans are urged to pre-book their tickets, The Dome will be rocking; make sure you don’t miss it.
