So Manchester are you up for it?

Thursday, 18th December 2014

Well the Premiership Champions have a real battle on their hands this season. It would be tough enough with 2 or 3 teams all expanding their rosters in an attempt to win at all costs, but to have so many injuries from the start of the season till now, well that’s a big ask. But let’s be honest us Northerners seem to always do everything the hard way. The team have been slowly climbing their way back up the table with a string of very impressive performances lately, bringing home a bag of points. So confidence is high for this Sundays big game when they are on course to clash head on with the Lightning at home.

Neil Morris recently became frosty when a journalist said to him your only problem with Manchester Phoenix fans is they are only happy when you are winning every week. Morris snapped back “rubbish, our fans followed us after the demise of the Storm, they followed us on the road when we had no home to play out of and they will support us as we climb the table once again and take what has become the biggest fan army to the Playoff Finals weekend at the end of the season in Coventry that has ever been seen”.

Both Morris and Coach Hand know that the game on December 21st at the Ice Dome (17:30 face off) against previous champions, The Milton Keynes Lightning is a 4 point game. The teams sit practically side by side in the table, so one team will gain 2 points and one will lose 2 points.

So grab the Mother In Law, the kids and the next door neighbour and lets show the rest of the country how we do things here in Good Old Manchester.
