Phoenix players bring some Christmas cheer

Friday, 18th December 2015

The Manchester Phoenix squad visited the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital yesterday morning, to hand over some surprise presents to the children on ward 78.

Phoenix fans once again gave generously this year, donating almost 200 presents which the players handed out throughout the morning.  Children and staff on the ward were delighted to welcome the Phoenix players, which has now become an annual event as part of the club’s engagement with the local community.

Phoenix owner Neil Morris, who accompanied the players at the hospital, commented: “Being able to put smiles on the faces of children who have been through so much is always a great experience, and it’s the event which the players look forward to every year.”
