Phoenix Rosters

profile from 2003

Mike Morin, the former Lake Superior State NCAA player, is the first signing made by Coach Rick Brebant in the new Manchester Phoenix side. A Manchester favourite, 31 year old Morin spent six seasons with the Manchester Storm after coming over from the AHL Providence Bruins team, where he played following a stint at the ECHL's Richmond Renegades.

Mike is a hard-working utility player, who is well known for putting 100% effort into every shift he plays, which is a quality that attracted the attention of Sheffield Steelers coach Mike Blaisdell, who signed Morin last season following his time at Hull Thunder.

Phoenix Coach Rick Brebant is very happy with his first signing: “I’ve played with Mikey on two different teams and appreciate exactly what he brings to the table. His whole game is based around an unquenchable work ethic and in a tough, physical game like ice hockey that goes a long, long way to building a strong team."
