Phoenix lower concession rates to attract young fans

Thursday, 15th January 2004

To encourage and foster a young nucleus of fans at each and every home game, The Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Club have announced a reduction in the concession rate to £5 for the rest of the 2003/2004 season.

The discounted gate admission will take effect on Wednesday, January 21 (7:30pm start) when the Coventry Blaze visit the MEN Arena in a match dedicated to raising funds for Booth Hall Children’s Hospital.

Phoenix Managing Director Neil Morris stated, “We want ice hockey to thrive in Manchester and the best way to make sure it happens is through our young fan base.” Morris continued, “the reduced rate for youngsters should enable more families to attend than ever before.”

As of January 21, 2003:
Regular concession rate: £5.00
Club Phoenix/FOMIH member: £4.25
