Sheffield Steelkings 2 - Manchester Phoenix 10

Part two of the War of the Roses between the Phoenix and Steelkings took place at Ice Sheffield this past Saturday Evening and saw a really tough contest between the two sides and in some ways had both sides coming out as winners. Four goals by Anthony Booth saw the Phoenix man finding his form once again as the Manchester side did the double over their rivals after they had beaten Sheffield last weekend 9-0 in Altrincham. The Phoenix sledge team take on Sheffield

This past Saturday saw the War of the Roses taking place at the Altrincham Ice dome and had the Red Rose of Lancashire taking the bragging rights for this weekend as they beat a spirited Sheffield Steelkings side 9-0 win with Karl Nicholson bagging a hat trick in a comprehensive win for the Phoenix, but it was a much tougher game than the score line suggests. Kingston Kestrels 7 - 3 Manchester Phoenix

Manchester Phoenix made the trip over to Humberside this past Saturday lunchtime as they faced off against the Kingston Kestrels at the Hull Ice Arena and saw the Kestrels move top of the table on goal difference to become the new league leaders at the top of the Planet Ice Sledge Hockey League. The Hull based side beat the Manchester Phoenix 7-3 as Kingston's GB international duo of Matt Clarkson and Matt Woolias saw them both claiming hat tricks in the win over the Altrincham outfit.
